M365/Onedrive - Sync issues
OneDrive files not synchronising/
OneDrive shortcuts cannot be removed /
A newer version of this file is available on the server
Errors:
Unable to sync Onedrive docs
Issue: Saving a copy will not let shared users see the data and discarding changes will not sync data for shared users
Issue: OneDrive files will not update to the cloud
Issue: OneDrive shortcuts will not remove from local source
Fix: To resolve this issue the offline cache needs to be cleared
1. Close all office programs: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, access Etc.
2. In the bottom right of your screen next to your clock is a small arrow. Click this to open the system tray

3. Click the OneDrive Icon

4. Click on the help and settings icon at the top of the pop up

5. Click "close OneDrive" and press "close OneDrive" when it asks if you are sure

6. On your keyboard press hold the windows key and press R. This will open the RUN command box. (Once opened you can release the Windows key)

7. Copy and paste the following into the run box and press okay.
%localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\OfficeFileCache

8. A folder will now open. Select everything in this folder. You can do this manually or by pressing CTRL-A on your keyboard
NOTE: Once selected the folders will be highlighted blue

9. Once everything is selected press the delete button along the top of the folder. This will remove everything in this folder.

10. Reboot the PC. Your documents should now open correctly
11. If issues persist - the local version of one drive needs to be remove PLEASE ENSURE FILES ON THE CLOUD VERSION ARE PRESENT AND CORRECT
Quit One drive and esure no onedrive.exe processes are running
navigate to the users local profile and rename the OneDrive - NHS folder

Rename the folder OneDrive - NHS to OneDrive - NHS.old
